With this adjustable circular loom system you can knit any size hat from a preemie to an adult hat. You can also make adult size slippers or a small sweater up to 30 inches around. This is an expandable system, so you can combine two sets together if you want to make larger items like an adult sweater or a 60 inch wide afghan. If you want to knit something even larger, you just add more loom segments!! Because the pegs are removable, you can insert every other peg to convert the Dream Ring into a large gauge loom for knitting with chunky yarn or for making "Mile-A-Minute" afghans. 

                       

All of the pegs combined in the base set forms a round loom large enough to knit a 30 inch tube (bigger than any hat you'll want to make). This set is so versatile, you can make a loom with any number of pegs from 32 to 79 pegs.  The Dream Ring comes shipped to you with the pegs out of the holes, so there will be some assembling before you can knit.

    

A variety of stitches are easy to do when you combine the knit and purl stitches. The beginning edge of this afghan was made using two loom segments side-by-side in the knitting board setting (see below) to give a firm, thick edge. Then, the loops were transferred over to just one of the segments and the loom was joined to form a ring. The rest of the afghan was made with a single strand of worsted-weight yarn, changing colors for each change of stitch pattern. Combining the knit and purl stitches makes a blanket or scarf that looks nice on the front as well as the back.

In the double-sided knitting board setting, you can knit scarves or afghan strips.  You can make your own novelty yarn like we did for this scarf by combining  two solid-colored yarns  with one nubby yarn.  

Extra End Pieces for The Dream Ring

With these movable end pieces, the Dream Ring can be adjusted to knit a tube as small as 8 pegs around or you could put all of your segments together into two long pieces and insert the two end pieces so you can knit as large a tube as you like. It also simplifies decreasing so that it is easier than ever to make something like a tapered ski hat.
